Weddings
I calculate my fee for weddings based on the amount of time required to complete the job. For every hour of shooting, there’s roughly two hours of corresponding editing. Before the wedding takes places, my customers and I agree on the amount of coverage needed. Typically, this ranges from five to eight hours or more (which is 15 to 24 hours of total time). Cost is then determined by that amount of time. Each wedding is completely unique, but my fee for a wedding starts at $1200. Shooting the rehearsal dinner would be considered part of the wedding and that will increase the amount of time needed. Additional costs may apply for travel expenses (outside of the front range area).
Engagement Sessions
Like weddings, engagement session are calculated much the same way. However, there’s far fewer pictures to sort through and the number of final photos is much smaller as well. This results is in roughly one hour of editing for every hour of shooting. The minimum time for an engagement session is at least two hours. Therefore, engagement sessions begin at $200. If you choose to hire me for both your wedding and engagement session, send me an email and I will cut you a deal. Additional costs may apply for travel expenses as well.
Modeling and Headshots
This works much like an engagement session, however these photos typically require a higher level of editing to ensure the best quality product. The minimum time for shooting is an hour, and editing takes about two or three hours for every hour of shooting. For a short session, my fee starts at $200.
Animals and Pets
In addition to people, I love to photograph animals, especially dogs. Unlike people, pets require far less editing. The minimum time for a shoot is a little longer at an hour and half. I need extra time to let your companion feel comfortable with me. The total will likely vary based on the animal and the location. Overall, pet photo sessions start at $150.
Delivery
All of my services are delivered to the customer on CDs or DVDs. I will mail them anywhere in the US, no additional charge. For weddings, I will also mail a few extra copies to the parents of the bride and groom for no additional charge. Each CD comes with all of the edited pictures as full resolution JPEGs. Customers are encouraged to share these with friends and family. All pictures are still copyrighted by Chase Hoffman Photography and may not be reproduced for a profit. In addition to these digital files, I back-up all of my pictures that I send to you. If you ever lose them in anyway, I will burn an additional copy for you, and all you have to pay is the postage.
